Another victory for the Department of Local Government (NWP)

For the third consecutive year, the North Western Local Government Department has won 2nd place in the Department category for the year 2018 at the National Productivity Awards. The presentation of awards and prizes to the winning institutions was held on 26th March 2019 at the BMICH with the participation of many distinguished guests including the Hon. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and the Hon. Speaker Karu Jayasuriya. The event was attended by a number of officials representing the Department including the Assistant Director (Planning) Mr. H.N.B. Abayawardhana of the Department.
